Agents of Russian special services designed and conducted terrorist acts, aiming to kill 1,600 Ukrainian law enforcers and high-ranked officials. Anatoliy Matios, Ukraine’s chief military prosecutor reported this during the briefing in Kyiv on November 1.

‘Over 1600 Ukrainian statesmen, as well as police and the security service workers were the targets of Russian special services – and saboteurs of the self-styled DPR and LPR (Donetsk and Luhansk ‘People’s Republics’, - 112 International). Thanks to the equipment and facilities sent from Russia to Donbas, they were able to track down whereabouts and movement of all these people,’ Matios said.- reports 112.ua

According to Matios, the enemy also planned to eliminate Vyacheslav Abroskin, the incumbent deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine. ‘God’s providence and Abroskin’s business trip saved him, as the saboteurs targeted him and Colonel Shapoval at the same time. Abroskin was extremely close to being killed. I can tell you that much’, the official told reporters.

Maksym Shapoval (Ukraine's military intelligence) and Oleksandr Kharaberyush (SBU, Ukraine's security service) were among the most notable officers, killed in the terrorist attacks, organized by Russian special services. Both deceased in the car blasts - Shapoval was killed in Kyiv in June 2017, and Kharaberyush lost his life in Mariupol in March 2017.
