In the course of the meeting with the representatives of national and foreign business, President Petro Poroshenko emphasized that the protection and support for the middle class in Ukraine is a priority of the government.

“What is the problem of the middle class now? First of all, unfair courts. Second, pressure of security officials,” Petro Poroshenko said. According to him, the Presidential Administration, the Government, the ministries learned how to work with the public overtly, but the security structures remain covert. “I think it is time to open these doors. To hear business and work efficiently with them,” the President said. He added that it is not about the restriction of powers of the security forces in the investigation of crimes.

“Tell me why do you organize “mask show”? Why do you organize “mask show” at first and then send request for information? Maybe it is better to change the order. This will be more efficient,” he said adding that the government is ready to make amendments to the legislation to settle this order.

Petro Poroshenko emphasized the need to divide functions of security forces in contacts with business. “Dozens of law enforcement agencies cannot break open business doors one by one. That is why the thesis about creating a financial investigation service is urgent,” he said adding that the elaborated draft law must be submitted for consideration by business shortly. The Head of State emphasized that the consideration and approval of the law on the service of financial investigations should take place as soon as possible.

"We are determined to concentrate the interaction between the law enforcement agencies and business," the President said.
