President Petro Poroshenko informed that on Monday, July 24, he would carry out phone conversations in the Normandy format and demand immediate ceasefire on the touch line.

“On Monday there will be a phone conversation in the Normandy format. I will demand immediate real ceasefire regime along the entire touch line,” the Head of State noted during the press statement following the meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. He added that in case of non-fulfillment sanctions must be intensified under the G7 decision. “We cannot and will not put up with brutal violation of the Minsk agreements. Every death of a Ukrainian hero cannot be left without a very tough response,” the President emphasized.

The Head of State stressed that Russian aggression hadn’t been suspended even for a day. “The most blatant cynicism is that they carry out aggression under the mask of mottos about fraternal nations. Every day we keep on bidding farewell to our best sons,” Petro Poroshenko emphasized. Over the last two days, 8 Ukrainian defenders were killed and over the whole period - 11 thousand of Ukrainian civilians and military. “Unfortunately, the aggressor is trying to bring to naught its failure of persistent attempts to split the Euro-Atlantic solidarity towards Ukraine and demonstrative success of the Ukrainian authorities on the path of reforms with a bloody agony in Donbas,” the Head of State noted.
