Donald Trump, the President of the USA made the decision to remove the US from the Paris Climate Agreement that was signed in 2016. Axios reported this, citing two sources.

According to the sources, the decision is under development by the Trump’s allies, including Scott Pruitt, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency. Particularly, they should decide whether the US is going to initiate the removal with all formal details and it will take 3 years or they are going to ignore all formal procedures and left the Agreement in the accelerated mode.

The Climate Agreement was prepared in Paris in 2015 and was signed in April 2016 in the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York. The representatives of more than 170 countries signed the document.

The Paris Agreement obliges the USA to limit greenhouse gases by 26-28% until 2025. Donald Trump promised to remove the USA from the Agreement during the election campaign.

The leaders of G7 urged Trump to stick to the Paris Agreement during the summit. The President of the USA promised to make a decision until the end of the week.
