Rostyslav Zavorotny, one of the defendants in the case of providing weapons to "titushky" during the events of the Revolution of Dignity, was released from the Lukyanivka prison in Kyiv today, Channel 5 reports.

It is noted that Kyiv court could not consider the issue of choosing further preventive measure for him.

Earlier the lawyer of Rostyslav Zavorotny Serhiy Voychenko assured that his client was not going to hide from the law enforcers.

“He is not going to run anywhere. He will go home, to his family and tomorrow (on April 28, - ed.) he will be in the court,” the lawyer said.

Zavorotny is accused of serious crimes connected to taking illegal possession of more than 150 assault rifles and almost 48 thousand cartridges from the warehouses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Earlier it was reported that Kyiv court continues looking into murders of Euromaidan protesters. Former fighters of Berkut riot police are charged with killing 48 unarmed protesters during the Revolution of Dignity in Kyiv in February 2014.
