Russia’s aggression in eastern Ukraine rudely violates international law and poses a threat to international security. That was mentioned in the joint statement made today, April 12, by Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Georgia.

Pavlo Klimkin and Mikheil Dzhanelidze met in Warsaw for consultations on a number of topics. In particular, they talked through the security issues in Eastern Europe, discussed further cooperation within the Eastern Partnership project and other bilateral questions.

‘The ministers decisively condemned the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation, which threatens the international security. The parties confirmed their commitment to mutual support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of their countries,’ reads the commentary of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry.

Klimkin confirmed he was ready to visit Georgia in the near time.
