There is no information on the casualties among Ukrainian citizens in the terror attack in St. Petersburg. The consular service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine on their Twitter account.

“Consul visited health care providing institution with the victims of the terror attack in Saint Petersburg. There are no Ukrainian citizens there,” reads the message.

The representative of the Consular Department of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry Vasyl Kyrylych called Ukrainians travelling abroad to be more careful and to avoid places of mass gathering on air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“Consulate of Ukraine in Saint Petersburg visited the medical facility, providing health care services to the victims of the terror attack. According to the medical staff there are no Ukrainian citizens found in these hospitals. The Emergency operating center of the Russia’s Emergency Ministry informed that more information on the victims to come on April 4. Ukrainian citizens, who are in St. Petersburg or abroad, have to be careful in such cases, to avoid places of mass gathering and keep tracking the situation, which is being developed, track the news and to react promptly on the conditions like that, to keep in touch with diplomatic institutions,” he said.

As it was reported earlier, explosion occurred at Sennaya Square station in Saint Petersburg at 3:30 p.m. Death toll reaches 14 people, about 51 got injured. All stations in the city were closed after the incident. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed metro explosions with FSB leadership, saying that all versions are being considered at the moment. Foreign Ministry of Ukraine is also trying to figure out whether there are Ukrainians among victims and injured in underground blasts in Saint Petersburg.
