Security measures were strengthened in Ukraine after the explosions in the subway of Saint Petersburg, Russia. This was announced by the Internal Minister Arsen Avakov, reports Ukrainian News.

“Yes, the security was tightened,” he said.

The patrols of law enforcers were increased and they will start working soon, according to him.

Russian Investigation Committee qualified the incident as a terrorist attack.

Earlier it was reported that an explosion in St Petersburg’s subway injured at least 10 people. The blast thundered at Sennaya Square station; the traffic along the entire line ceased, according to witnesses.
