Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Kyslytsya has briefed the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting on Wednesday on the situation in occupied territory in Donbas, saying that Russia continues sending arms and funds to terrorists in eastern Ukraine.

"Like the USSR, Russia cynically speaks of peace while sending weapons and financing terrorists," he tweeted during the Council meeting in Geneva.

He also recalled that Ukraine had lodged a claim against Russia with the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

"Ukraine requested in The Hague provisional measures and [a ruling] to order Russia to stop violating rights of Ukrainian people," he wrote.
