Mevlut Mert Altintas collected information about Andrey Karlov since October till December 2016, - Anadolu

The killer of Russian ambassador in Ankara obviously prepared for the attack; Mevlut Mert Altintas spent two months to collect information on his victim, Anadolu wrote with the reference to a police source, reports 112 TV channel.

It was found out that in October, a user searched the Web for information about Russian diplomat Andrey Karlov. Altintas was proved to have used his ex-roommate’s computer to collect the data.

The investigation now identifies those who in any way contacted with the killer during the period.

Earlier reported that  Aleppo could be the plausible reason of  Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov killing in Ankara. Recall Karlov was hit by 11 bullets in a back.

The incident took place in Ankara on December 19, 2016, as the diplomat was holding a speech at the ‘Russia as seen by Turks’ exhibition. Altintas, disguised as a guard, shot the ambassador from behind. The Turkish police killed him on the spot, having accidentally wounded another three people during the special operation.
