Ukraine and Poland unite efforts in defense sphere

Following the negotiations of delegations headed by President Petro Poroshenko and President of Poland Andrzej Duda, the General Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Poland on Cooperation in Defense Sphere has been signed.

The document has been signed by Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and Minister of National Defense of Poland Antoni Macierewicz.

The General Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Poland on Cooperation in Defense Sphere has been elaborated under the Law of Ukraine on International Treaties of Ukraine pursuant to the initiative of the Polish side.

The purpose of the document is to create legal framework for the development of cooperation between the parties in defense sphere on the principles of reciprocity.

The Agreement will have positive influence on defense capacity of the state, develop military-industrial complex and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as provide the opportunity of launching new topical forms of cooperation.
