Martin Schulz: European Parliament`s majority is ready to provide the visa-free regime for Ukrainians

In the framework of intensive consultations on ratification of the Association Agreement, President Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.

Poroshenko emphasized that every opportunity must be used to ratify the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

In his turn, Martin Schulz noted that the European Parliament stood on the side of Ukraine and had a majority to provide the visa-free regime for Ukrainians.

The parties agreed to continue contacts for the efficient coordination of efforts.

Petro Poroshenko also had a phone conversation with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.

The parties discussed the situation on the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU by the Netherlands. Jean-Claude Juncker emphasized that the Agreement remained in force, including the free trade area.

Earlier Poroshenko announced final terms when Ukraine is going to get a visa-free regime

Also the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte expressed the support concerning immediate provision of the visa-free regime for Ukrainians.
