SC “UkrOboronProm” represents a reform strategy of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine to the deputies of Verkhovna Rada. The reform covers clear sequential steps: corporatization, auditing, clustering, protection of technology and launching innovation platform UkrARPA.
“The domestic defence industry was destroyed, but today it is being restored and is working – new samples of military equipment are continuously transferred to the Army. In the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine we are to focus considerable attention on the defence industry sector, supporting and encouraging its development”, – said the Chairman of the Subcommittee on military-industrial complex and military-technical cooperation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues of national security and defence Artur Gerasimov.
“Two years ago SC “UkrOboronProm” team started defence industry revival. Now we are rapidly developing. The State Concern provides Ukrainian soldiers with everything necessary, developing innovative samples of military equipment and integrating into the world market. Though it is necessary to move from Soviet industry management standards to the current generally accepted ones for this process to gain maximum speed. And for this purpose the legislation is to be improved. We count on the full support of the Deputies in strengthening the defence capability of Ukraine “, – said Roman Romanov.
In particular, it is necessary to adopt a model of public-private partnerships, allow the plants creating joint ventures with foreign partners, to provide sectoral support and financial recovery of the given area. Drafts covering all these issues are awaiting deputies’approval.
In the framework of reform strategy presentation “UkrOboronProm” (UOP) will demonstrate innovative weapons and equipment of domestic production, providing the opportunity to ask questions to directors and technical experts of key UOP enterprises.
Early reported “UkrOboronProm” represented the "Phantom" - soldier of the future.
