Yhe Ukrainian delegation led by Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff General of the Army of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko started an official visit to the United States 7th Army Training Command, taking place in Germany.
The aim of this visit is to tour the infrastructure and get acquainted with capabilities of the US training centres in Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
Moreover, the General Muzhenko will hold talks with Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, Commander, United States Army Europe and Brigade General Tony Aguto, Commander, 7th Army Training Command. The parties will discuss the development of mutually profitable cooperation in troops training.
The delegation will also observe the “Allied Spirit V” multinational exercise involving troops from 15 NATO countries.
Allied Spirit V is a multinational military exercise, that includes approximately 2,520 participants from eight nations, participating in exercise at the 7th Army Training Command's Hohenfels. Training Area is situated in southeastern Germany. The drills cover the period of September 26 till October 15, 2016, in which allies set to exercise tactical and communication interoperability. Participating NATO countries include about 1,065 participants from Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom; and about 1,455 participants from the U.S.'s 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, 40th Infantry Division of the California Army National Guard, Louisiana Army National Guard and Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
