Today, October 7, about 11:00 a.m. the Ukrainian troops and weaponry have been withdrawn near Petrivske (Donbas) in the framework of the Minsk agreements. The representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission are at the scene.
Troops and weaponry are withdrawn as agreed in Minsk. The Ukrainian government troops moved 1 km west and took up new positions. The withdrawal process was verified by the OSCE SMM and JCCC representatives.
The framework agreement on troops’ withdrawal at three sites of the demarcation line in Donbas was signed on September 21, 2016 in Minsk.
On October 1, a Ukrainian unit was withdrawn on the outskirts of Zolote (Luhansk oblast) at defined lines.
In Luhansk direction, over the past night the Russian occupational troops have performed 10 attacks against the Ukrainian army positions. Particularly, several attacks were near Stanytsya Luhanska checkpoint. Thus, it is impossible to withdraw troops in Luhansk direction.
