Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit annexed Crimea this week, Russian news agency RBC reported, citing two interlocutors close to the Kremlin and a source close to the embassy of the Southern Federal District.
The visit is scheduled for Friday, August 19, Unian reports.
Putin may meet local officials and visit the Tavrida youth camp, which is located near Sevastopol.
The press service of the Kremlin has not yet commented on Putin's visit to Crimea.
As reported earlier by 1492news.com, Putin says Moscow will not ignore incidents in Crimea in which two soldiers were killed.
