Ukraine holds captive many more pro-Russian militants than the rebels in Donbas do, MP says.

Ukraine’s MP, former fighter pilot Nadiya Savchenko offered the government to start releasing prisoners of war – the Moscow-backed militants captured in Donbas since spring 2014, according to 112.international.

'There’s always someone who has to make the first step. If we become the first to start releasing prisoners, that will yield the result. Believe me', Savchenko said in an interview with BBC Ukraine.

As reported earlier by 1492news.com, Savchenko started a hunger strike in protest against inaction on the issue of the prisoners release.
