Struggle goes on between Italian MPs, who argue whether to keep or lift sanctions off the Kremlin, - Ukraine’s Ambassador in Italy
The bilateral cooperation between Italy and Russia is only possible if the Kremlin fully implements Minsk agreements. Yevhen Perelyhin, the Ukrainian diplomat, Ukraine’s Ambassador in Italy, said this in a commentary to 112 Ukraine TV channel, 112.international reports.
‘The Five Stars Movement, the large populist party, and some MPs from other parties offered five bills that foresee lifting sanctions off Russia. Luckily, powerful pro-government coalition and independent MPs held the overwhelming majority, which allowed them to vote for a different resolution. In that document, they stated that the sanctions will stay in place, until Minsk agreements are fully implemented. Only after that, cooperation between the sides may resume’, the diplomat stressed.
As reported earlier by 1492news.com, Italian Parliament did not support the resolution on the lifting of sanctions against Russia
