Federal President of Germany urges authorities and civil society to closely cooperate so as to avoid more terrorist acts
'No government can guarantee safety to citizens anymore', Joachim Gauk, Federal President of Germany, said during the ceremony dedicated to the victims of the recent Munich attack. Quoted by Reuters, Gauk said that common citizens and governments should join efforts for more efficient struggle against terrorism. ‘What we can do is something we need to work on again - that is the alliance of government bodies and an alert and active civil society. This is the best possible cover against the rise of the cynical calculus of violent attackers’, the official said.
