Turkish Prime Minister assumes emergency rule can be extended if the government fails to implement necessary reforms in three months
The Armed Forces of Turkey are subject to reforms because of serious breaches in the national security system. These breaches turned clearly visible during the recent failed military coup, Binali Yildirim said as quoted by Anadolu.
According to him, there are issues in terms of subordination between the army’s command staff and its subdivisions. ‘We plan to re-shape the Armed Forces so as to get rid of these problems’, the head of the Turkish government said.
Yildirim also assumed that the emergency rule can be extended if the government fails to implement necessary reforms in the next three months.
