The Kremlin has supported coordination of efforts to counter terrorism in Syria with the US, the Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov says.
According to him, Putin has been mentioning that one can effectively fight terrorism in Syria with joint efforts only.
'Putin has expressed regret for the fact that our American partners refuse this kind of cooperation and sure this position still is relevant,' he said.
At the same time, he notes that he still cannot comment on the US Secretary of State John Kerry’s offer on Syria. According to him, the Kremlin is waiting for Kerry's visit to Moscow to discuss the issue in detail.
