Prosecutor General's Office finds weapons used for shooting Euromaidan - Lutsenko

The General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko confirmed that the Prosecutor General’s Office had found weapons, which was used to shoot Euromaidan’s participants.

According to him, the found weapons will become another proof of the crimes which were committed on the Maidan.

'Today, special forces from GPU’s department conducted searches in relation to the export and liquidation of weapons involved in the bloody shooting of Black Hundred by Berkut. The parts of the sniper rifle and guns which were found in a lake will become another proof in the trial,' the general prosecutor said.

Earlier, similar information was provided by people’s deputy Vladimir Aryev.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has found a cache with weapons which were used for shooting on Euromaidan in Goloseyevskiy district of Kiev. They found fragments from 23 firearms. According to the examination’s results, the SBU have managed to identify 12 of the 23 arms. Berkut’s former members are accused of shooting 39 participants of mass protests at Independence Square and Instytutskaya Street on February 20, 2014.
