The President of Ukraine arrived in Azerbaijan with an official visit.

Ukraine doesn’t recognize Nagorno-Karabakh and welcome Azerbaijan’s similar position on Crimea, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko notes in Baku.

'I’d like to point out that Ukraine does not recognize and will accept no corresponding certification documents of Nagorno-Karabakh, as we have said before. We welcome the similar position of Azerbaijan on Crimea,' he said

Moreover, Poroshenko says that the parties agreed to expand cooperation in a multilateral format taking into account Ukraine's membership in the UN Security Council.

'Azerbaijan was a member of the UN Security Council and actively supported Ukraine. Now we stress that Azerbaijan can firmly rely on the support of Ukraine when we join the UN Security Council,' Poroshenko added.

The President said that Ukraine and Azerbaijan are to arrange joint production of the An-178 in future.

'As Ilham Heydarovich said, one of the most promising objects is delivering of Ukrainian An-178 transport planes to Azerbaijan and their future co-production, including on the territory of Azerbaijan. The successful implementation of this project will let Ukrainian manufacturers create conditions for active development of new markets,' Poroshenko said.

The conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh broke out with renewed strength on the night of April 2. The parties claimed to kill hundreds of dead enemies. On April 4, Azerbaijan put forward a number of conditions for the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh.
