Canadian general met with Canadian instructors training the Ukrainian servicemen at the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre of the National Land Forces Academy, as well as toured the centre infrastructure.

Col. Gen. Jonathan Vance hold talks with General of the Army of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The parties discussed the issue of development of bilateral cooperation.

'We are satisfied with cooperation with the Canadian party and the level of training of our units achieved due to the Canadian trainers,' Viktor Muzhenko stressed.

Jonathan Vance reaffirmed the Canadian intentions to continue and develop bilateral cooperation with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to him, the Canadians strongly support all their efforts in favor of Ukraine as the Ukrainian people need comprehensive support and assistance in the context of the Russian aggression.

'Assistance to the Ukrainians in hour of need is not just a duty of the whole civilized world but the necessary condition to keep security in the Eastern European region,' he said.
