The UN noted a lack of appropriate institutions of governance and confidence of the population in Ukraine.
Only 7% of all the Ukrainians believe in the success of anti-corruption policy of the Cabinet of Ministers. This was stated by the Director of the UN Development Program in Ukraine Blerta Chela at a presentation of the Unified State Register of declarations of public officials in the prosecutor's office on Tuesday, July 12.
'According to certain studies, only 7% of all the Ukrainians believe that the anti-corruption measures, which are being implemented by the government, will bring some results,' Chela said.
According to her, it proves the lack of appropriate institutions of governance and confidence of the population.
'But these data on the perception of corruption – are not just data. These figures have a direct impact on the Ukrainians, and especially on the poorest ones, who are more dependent on public services,' Chela added.
