Kyiv city council has voted to rename Moscovsky Avenue into Stepan Bandera Avenue. This was reported by the city council’s deputy Yuryi Sirotyuk in Facebook.

'Hurrah! There is the avenue of Stepan Bandera (instead of Moscovsky) in Kyiv!' 87 of 97 deputies voted for this. None was against. Glory to Ukraine!' he wrote.

They also are going to rename the following objects:

1. Bauman Street – into Janusha Korchaka Street (Shevchenkovskiy district);

2. Kutuzova Street – into Generala Almazova Street (Pecherskiy district);

3. Suvorova Street – into Mikhaila Emelyanovicha-Pavlenko Street (Pecherskiy district)

4. Kutuzova Lane – into Eugeniya Gutsalo Lane (Pecherskiy district).

Moreover, Sirotyuk says they still have to rename Vatutina Avenue into Shukhevycha Avenue.
