The two countries are developing strong cooperation in the space industry. The governments of Ukraine and the United States are planning a joint launch of a space rocket.

This information was given by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, Valeriy Chaly in the interview to the '5th Channel'. The ambassador stressed that the launch was planned to be held in the coming months. Ukraine has significant experience in similar projects. 'I hope that it won’t be that sensation now,' he said.

Moreover, Valeriy Chaly reminded that the government of Ukraine could not agree on a joint meeting with the USA representatives to discuss possible cooperation in the space industry for a long time. Its attempts to start successful negotiations had been going since 2008. The meeting did take place just two weeks ago.

Earlier Dialog.ua reported the Antares rocket had been tested in the USA. The first stage of the rocket was designed at Yuzhnoye Design Office. The missile is designed to deliver cargoes of up to 6,800 kilos to the space station.

As reported earlier by 1492news.com, Russia to rename and launch Dnepr missile without Ukraine.
