Turkish authorities are to give the Russian Federation permission to use Incirlik airbase to deal with terrorists of Daesh, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu reported.

'We’ve opened Incirlik airbase for those who want to join the active fight against Daesh. Why not to cooperate with Russia? This terrorist organization is our common enemy and we should fight against it,' some local media cited Çavuşoğlu as saying.

Turkish Incirlik Air Base is the most eastern base of the US Air Force Command in Europe. And besides the US, Ankara has allowed Germany, the UK, Qatar and Saudi Arabia to use the base.

On June 29, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. After that the head of the state expressed hope that the bilateral relations between the two countries are to be normalized in the nearest future.

Following the telephone conversation with Erdogan, Putin signed a decree that softened the special measures which had been imposed on Turkey after its attack on the Su-24 bomber in November 2015.

As reported earlier by, Long parting: Putin and Erdogan agree to meet.
