The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the fact that the summit between Ukraine and NATO is to result in coordination of complex assistance to deal with Russian aggressor.
The Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that the strengthening of Ukraine’s defense is to take place after the signing of documents on assistance from the international structures of security.
'This package will let us consolidate NATO’s current directions of support and help us to establish more effective, more efficient defense and security, which also will be reformed according to the schedule approved in the Strategic Defense Bulletin,' the politician said.
Poroshenko emphasizes that NATO strongly condemns the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and supports Kyiv.
'The special point of our country’s participation in this summit will be the fact that Ukraine is the only partner of the Alliance, which will hold a separate meeting of NATO-Ukraine Commission at the highest level. This is an evidence of the high attention from the member states to Ukraine and the faithful support of our allies in difficult conditions, and of the commitment to go on with the strengthening of the special partnership between Ukraine and NATO,' the President concluded.
