Famous footballer from Dynamo heads Dnepr

Famous football player of Kiev’s Dynamo Dmytro Mykhaylenko had been playing for the capital's team from 1994 to 2001. He became seven-time champion of Ukraine and took the cup of the country four times. Now he’s just become the head of Dnepr. This was reported by the team’s official website.

Mykhaylenko have been heading the junior team of Dnepr since 2009. Under his leadership, Dnepr used to reach the top three positions in the last three seasons and became the champion of Ukraine in 2014-2015.

The head coach of Dnepr Myron Markevych has decided to resign. The professional had informed the management about his intention to leave the team. He expressed his unwillingness to continue working for free.

There appeared certain rumors about the imminent liquidation of Dnepr. The club's owner Ihor Kolomoyskyi and its CEO Andrii Stetsenko disproved this information.
