Turkish media are spreading information about the involvement of Russian citizens of Chechen origin in the organization and execution of a bloody terrorist attack that occurred at the airport of Istanbul on June 28.

It is reported that the suspect in the terrorist attack at Istanbul Atatürk Airport is a native of Chechnya Ahmed Chataev. He had been working for the Caucasus Emirate before the death of its leader Doku Umarov and then joined Daesh, some Turkish security sources claim.

The three suicide bombers, who blew themselves up at Istanbul airport, came from Dagestan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Doğan agency claims that one of the terrorists was a Russian citizen of Chechen origin Osman Vadinov, who had come to Turkey from Raqqa.

According to CBS News channel, Turkey’s law enforcement officers are working on a version that the attackers could be Chechen jihadists linked to Daesh.
