Yatsenyuk gives an account of Ukrainian reforms to Washington

Arseniy Yatsenyuk, former Prime Minister of Ukraine, now the leader of the People's Front party, met Vice President of the United States Joseph Biden during his visit to the USA.

Following his meeting Joe Biden in the US, Yatsenyuk left a post in Facebook: 'I met a friend of mine and a great friend of Ukraine, Vice-President of the United States Joe Biden.'

Moreover, the ex-PM noted how much the leaders of Western countries had done for Ukraine. According to him, the USA is one of the first countries, which acted in favor of the protection of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and independence. He reiterated that the US had invested billions of dollars in the economy of Ukraine.

Joseph Biden believes that a lot of things depend on the country and Ukrainian political leaders at this stage. He also noted importance of implementing the reforms that had been started 2 years ago. According to Biden, they will continue to help the state provided that Ukraine demonstrates its progress regularly.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk is on a visit to the United States on June 27-30.

Earlier, Dialog.UA reported that the US officials had invited Yatsenyuk to Washington themselves to listen to his report on the progress of the reforms in Ukraine.
