On June 28, there was a terrorist attack at the airport of Istanbul. It killed more than 20 people and more than 50 others were injured.

This was reported by the Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul Vasiliy Bodnar.

Bodnar says that it is the largest airport of Turkey and a lot of people from different countries, including Ukraine go through it.

According to his sources, about 50 people were injured and 10 others were killed as a result of the attacks. The consuls have already left for the scene; there still is no information about any victims among the citizens of Ukraine.

Moreover, Vasiliy Bodnar has voiced his own version of the attack: three suicide bombers broke through the airport’s security that opened fire against them, and the two of them made an explosion in the departure lounge.
