Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman congratulated fellow Ukrainians on the occasion.

112.international reports:

This date commemorates the anniversary of the approval by Ukraine's parliament of the Constitution of Ukraine on June 28, 1996. Ukraine began drafting a new constitution after gaining independence in 1991, following the collapse of the former Soviet Union. This constitution and its adoption established a legal foundation of the independent Ukraine. It was considered progressive in terms of human rights and freedoms for Ukrainians.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman congratulated fellow Ukrainians on the occasion. ‘This holiday is closely connected to the basics of our statehood. It’s been 20 years since young independent Ukrainian state got its very own Constitution. We’ve got to get inspiration in our pride for Ukraine and our faith in better future. Inspiration to build and protect our Ukraine as a sovereign, independent, democratic, social and law-bound state,’ Groysman posted at Facebook.
