On June 23, the UK has started a referendum, where voters should solve the issue of the country's membership in the European Union.

All the 382 polling stations opened at 7:00 am local time. People can vote up to 10:00 pm. At the same time, there will be no official exit polls from the polling stations. TV channels are not allowed to make predictions too.

All the votes are expected to be known by the morning of June 24. The Election Commission will announce the results of the referendum before the start of the working day in the UK.

According to the latest public opinion polls conducted by the sociological institute of ComRes, 48% of the British favor the country’s membership in the EU and this is 6% more than those who support Brexit. At the same time, according to the results of another study conducted for The Times, the gap between supporters and opponents of membership in the EU is only 2% (51 and 49 respectively).
