Ukraine’s Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has pointed out all the mistakes and defects of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. He explained the military’s slowness in the issue of reforming.

Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak explained why reforming of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is so slow. It turns out that our country is the only one of its kind, because it’s reforming its forces during military operations. It’s impossible to create something that was absent just two years ago without mistakes. There were mistakes in the Ministry of Defense’s decisions too, Poltorak admits.

However, the worst mistake was made before the notorious events. According to the Defense Minister, the army became incapable and unprepared for combat operations, it was deprived of its ability to perform certain military tasks, they reduced funding. And this resulted in the events in the Donbass and Crimea.

But Ukraine has corrected its mistakes already. It has created new units and formations and started to provide its army with all the necessary things. They are doing everything possible, Stepan Poltorak claims.
