High-level delegation from Ukraine discussed in Brussels the reforming of the judiciary and the prosecution office

On 13-15 June in the framework of a visit to Brussels, the delegation of Ukraine discussed with the EU side Ukraine's progress in implementing the amendments to the Constitution in terms of judiciary and reforming of the prosecution office.

The discussion included Minister of Justice of Ukraine Pavlo Petrenko, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oksana Syroyid, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Oleksiy Filatov and Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges Sergey Koziakov.

Ukrainian officials took part in special hearings in the Committee on Legal Affairs of the European Parliament 'The reform of the judiciary in Ukraine' and held separate bilateral meetings with European partners. On June 15 Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko and Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhen Yenin took part in the meeting of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the European Parliament.
