On Sunday, Ukrainian team will cross swords with Germans at Stade Pierre Mauroy.

Mykhailo Fomenko, head coach of Ukraine’s national football team, gave a pre-match press conference before the game with the world champions, the Bundesteam (FFU). According to him, the Yellow Blues came to know their opponent very well, as Germans are considered one of the favorites of Euro 2016.

Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, the seasoned veteran of the Ukrainian team, commented on the issue.

'The main thing for us is to show what we’re capable of. It’s just the start of the competition, and every team finds it hard to begin. I guess the teams just aren’t in their prime conditions yet. The German squad is in good moral shape. But we’ve got to build tactics based on our game style, and we’re ready to struggle. The team has their game face on', he said.

Ukraine’s winger Andriy Yarmolenko added that right now, there are no stars or celebrities in any of the teams, since every player is determined to fight for victory.

'Ukraine is so much more than Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka', the midfielder stressed.
