There appeared some problems in the course of rapid decision on abolition of visas. The European Union has decided to postpone a decision on visa-free regime for Georgia, Ukraine and Kosovo at least until September.
According to the EU’s officials and diplomats, the European Parliament could sign the decision on the abolition cancellation only in September.
The issues raised by member states and preventing from making a rapid decision on the abolition of visas vary from Germany's concerns about the Georgian criminals to France’s ideas that hat the abolition of visas would make the EU’s security system more vulnerable.
On April 20, the European Commission proposed a European Parliament and the Council of the European Union to abolish visas for Ukrainian citizens. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expects the EU to provide visa-free regime for Ukrainians in a few months.
