The crew of Russia’s Admiral Grigorovich frigate made a hole in the skin, while trying to tie up to the shore in Sevastopol. Russian occupiers hardly managed not to drown the ship.
Total cost for the frigate was $ 500 mln. It has joined Russia’s Black Sea Fleet today.
When the Admiral Grigorovich was trying to tie up to the shore, the captain did not manage to slow down and the pride of the Black Sea Fleet flew into concrete wall of the pier with its board. Thus, there appeared a hole in the frigate’s skin.
According to eyewitnesses, the ship ran into a sharp angle when trying to reach the shore. The sailors managed to tie up to the shore of Sevastopol just at the second time.
The causes of the incident have been investigating. It still is unclear, why the captain of Russian occupation troops tried to drown the new ship.
Russian media reported that the missile frigate was built for the Black Sea Fleet for the first time in 35 years. The frigate is armed with the Calibr cruise missiles, Shtil air defense complexes, torpedoes and other weapons.
