At least nine journalists are considered to be killed since the start of armed clashes in the Donbass two years ago. This was reported by Andriy Parubiy, the speaker of Ukrainian Parliament.
According to the stated information, five media workers were killed on the frontline and four others died in the territory of the ATO.
'The journalists were on the frontline and adequately responded to the challenges of the war,' Parubiy said.
The speaker noted that the journalists have proven to be courageous and patriotic citizens, who rebuilt the information space.
According to Parubiy, he was impressed by the journalists’ courage in the territory of the ATO.
On June 6, the head of Ukrainian Parliament officially congratulated all the journalists on their professional holiday. He drew attention to the fact that the Kremlin terrorists initiated not only actual physical invasion, but information sabotage and Ukrainian journalists had to oppose it.
As reported earlier by 1492news.com, The National Police started looking for one of the most hard-core militants of the so-called DPR Mikhail Tolstykh, who also is known as Givi. The information appeared on the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ website.
