War in Donbass: Switzerland sends humanitarian convoy to the east of Ukraine

The current consignment is the fourth that Switzerland has sent to the conflict region since spring 2015.

'Switzerland sends two convoys of humanitarian aid - chemicals for water treatment and medical goods - to the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine.

 As it previously reported, over 10.000 people were killed since the beginning of Russian invasion. 

Two days ago, May, 22 on east of Ukraine was sent the train with chemicals’ the Switzerland’s press service in Ukraine informed.

The destination point of this train is Donetsk. There local people will be provided with water and other necessities.

Medicine, food, and other goods will be delivered to Donetsk by a lorries.

Seven members of Humanitarian aid support this humanitarian help. It is the fourth cargo since 2015 that was sent to Donetsk.

Earlier Russian’s convoy delivered to Ukraine tons of humanitarian help. The consignment consisted of provision and other supplies. These so-called ‘humanitarian help’ was transported to Ukraine without the agreement of the government.'

As reported by, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko took part in a solemn ceremony to see off Ukrainian national team for the European Championship 2016. He stated that the opportunity to sing the national anthem under the yellow-blue flags in Donetsk will appear in the nearest future.
