Illegal armed groups continue the shelling against ATO positions using mortars and artillery near the industrial zone of Avdeevka.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Presidential Administration on ATO matters, Colonel Andriy Lysenko at a press briefing on Monday.
'Avdeevka still is the hottest point. An enemy unit that was located in the village of Spartak, opened fire against our positions just after midnight. 240 shells were fired just within an hour,' Lysenko said.
He added that in the afternoon the militants had used 82-mm mortars and launched about 30 bombs near Avdeevka.
According to the spokesman, the criminals shelled two villages in the areas of Novoaidar and Slavianoserbsk, which used to be quiet.
'Four enemy attacks took place in Luhansk area yesterday. In particular, the militants opened fire against Zhovte and Sokolniki, which used to be absolutely quiet. In addition, two snipers opened fire in Nazvanovka,' Lysenko said.
