Ukraine Today shared on Facebook:
'Since the start of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine two years ago, 10,000 people have been killed and 20,000 wounded, reported Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko speaking on Monday at the UN Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, Turkey.'
Petro Poroshenko held his speech at the UN Humanitarian Summit in Instambul, Turkey and counted the number of killed and wounded since the invasion of Russia. He also reported that Ukraine is the target of Russian aggression. The consequences of this aggression are terrible: more than 10.000 killed, over 20.000 wounded and about 1,8 mln changed their place internally.
Russia still denied its implication to the conflict in Ukraine.
At the end of April, the UN’s representative declared about more than 9.3 thousand killed in Donbas.
From the beginning of March 2014, demonstrations by pro-Russian and anti-government groups took place in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine.
These demonstrations, which followed the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, and which were part of a wider group of concurent pro-Russian protests across southern and eastern Ukraine, escalated into an armed conflict.
As reported earlier to the 1492news.com, Sazonov made a statement on Putin's big mistake: 'A single region won’t dictate rules of life to Ukraine.' According to Sazonov, neither Putin, nor his successor will be able to manage Ukrainian politics by manipulating separate areas of the Donbas.
