Naftogaz of Ukraine has taken no Gasprom’s gas at the entry points to the uncontrollable territories and has no plans to pay for it, Naftogaz’s statement reads.
'Naftogaz haven’t been buying Gazprom’s gas since November 2015, this company previously had imported gas only through the entry points to gas holders on Ukraine’s controlled territory. All the gas that was bought by Naftogaz were calculated and paid off,' the press-service says.
According to the report, the company expects that the decision on all the mutual demands on existing agreements between Naftogaz and Gazprom will be made by the arbitration.
'Gazprom offered Naftogaz to pay 0.67 billion dollars for the gas that had been allegedly delivered by the Russian company to uncontrollable area of the Donbass from February 2015 to April 2016,' the statement noted.
According to a contract with Gazpropm, Naftogaz doesn’t receive any gas on the gas stations of Prokhorovka and Platovo.
'Data on the supply of gas through these gas stations cannot be used for the preparation of acts of acceptance of natural gas and thus, this gas is not a matter of payments for Naftogaz,' the company said.
'In January 2016, the European Commission and Ukraine offered the Russian side to negotiate on settlement of Gazprom’s violations of Ukrainian and EU laws. The Russian side had been evading the negotiations before. Naftogaz still is opened to discuss all the disputable issues,' the press-service noted.
It was reported that the trial of Gazprom and Naftogaz in the Arbitration Institute of Stockholm Chamber of Commerce is to go on for another six months.
As of today the sum of Gazprom’s claim is $31.75.
Gazprom and Naftogaz have been sorting their relationship in the arbitration since June 2014.
