Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Vitaliy Klitschko met Jamala, who had won Eurovision and offered her to perform Ukrainian anthem at the opening of a fight between his brother Volodymyr and Tyson Fury.

This became known from the Mayor of Kyiv’s post.

'Today I met Jamala to congratulate her on winning the Eurovision Song Contest personally and to thank for the fact that Ukraine sounded in a triumphant way. She shared her impressions from the contest, I admitted that I was glad to see this victory both as a viewer and a patriot, and as the capital’s mayor. It’s hard to imagine better promotion for the country and the city. We discussed the matter of holding Eurovision next year in Kiev, the preparations for which we have already started. I also offered Jamala to perform the anthem of Ukraine before the fight of Volodya with Tyson Fury on July 9 in British Manchester. Jamala performed the anthem before my brother’s fight with Povetkin in Moscow. And this time it would be very symbolic, I believe. Jamala said that it would be an honor for her. Volodya and I are very thankful,' he wrote.

Jamala took the first place at the majestic song contest, where she represented Ukraine. She got 534 points. The second and third places were given to Australian Dami Im and Russian Sergey Lazarev.

As reported earlier to the, Russian singer Kobzon decides to become the oldest participant of Eurovision 2017. The aged singer and State Duma deputy Iosif Kobzon decided to defend Russian honor at Eurovision 2017 personally. He even isn’t afraid to go to Ukraine, which he hates.
