According to the Canadian Space Agency, the remnants of the ancient Mayan city discovered by a 15-year-old student, is nothing but a hemp field. The conclusion was made by Geoffrey Braswell, the archeologist from the University of California, San Diego.
Braswell have been working with his students in this area of the Yucatan jungle. His colleagues agree with the scientists and even have considered the Quebec student William Gadoury’s idea as pseudoscientific.
Gadoury reported the discovery of the city after he had compared Mayan star maps with the map of their largest settlements. The student tried to compare the location of ancient cities with the star map and thus, concluded that the settlement could exist.
The student’s conclusions enthusiastically were accepted by experts from the Canadian Space Agency. The teen spoke to scientists and he told them his theory. At the same time, Canadian experts said it’s necessary to outfit an expedition to the Yucatan jungle to check Gadoury’s conclusions.
