Ukraine and China have agreed to simplify visa regime for their citizens. The agreements were reached on May 10 following consultations at the level of heads of consular services of Ukraine and China, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.
'Due to the results we reached a principal agreement between the parties on implementation of certain steps to mutually simplify the regime of traveling for citizens. The parties have analyzed key areas of joint action in terms of liberalization of visa procedures, effective cooperation of the parties to provide adequate assistance for the citizens abroad,' the statement reads.
Furthermore, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere, some migration and visa issues and the problems of rights and freedoms of citizens of both countries.
The event was attended by representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the State Border Service, the National Police, the Security Service, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the State Migration Service.
