On May 1, Shakhtar’s head coach Mircea Lucescu commented on the victory of Dynamo in the Ukrainian championship match. He told this to the 1 Football TV channel.

Mircea Lucescu stressed that Dynamo had had to show that it was champion.

'Now there is a question whether the championship was honest. Some teams just pretend to play with Dynamo and a week later they play with us to the bitter end, aggressively. Thus, we lost the scores,' he said.

He added that Shakhtar proved to be the best Ukrainian team in Europe.

'Dynamo has won the championship, but I can’t keep silence: they have people who don’t mind their own business,' Lucescu said.

He noted that this 'does not let championship rise.'
