Among those awarded with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the 3rd degree is the chief of Missile Troops and Artillery Faculty of Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi Ground Forces Academy Colonel Yaroslav Veselskyi. Within the period of December 22, 2014 to March 6, 2015, Yaroslav Veselskyi acted as the chief of missile troops and artillery section of the headquarters, stayed at ATO headquarters, carried out tasks of planning and exercising hard-kill actions to the enemy. While performing his duties, Colonel Veselskyi proved his professional skills and knowledge of artillery fire planning, expertly and manfully took decisions on hitting enemy targets, displayed special courage and heroism, persistence and resoluteness in performing his military duty under conditions involving risk to life.
The Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the 3rd grade was also presented to the commander of the mechanized artillery battery of the mechanized artillery division of the 43rd separate artillery brigade of the Ground Forces of the Ukraine Armed Forces, Major Oleksandr Dotsenko. Since January 19, 2015 to the present day, Oleksandr Dotsenko is engaged in the anti-terrorist operation. The battery under Major Dotsenko’s command successfully accomplished combat missions which resulted in considerable enemy losses in manpower and materiel. The Major directed the artillery fire while giving fire support to the defenders of Donetsk airport, at the time of Debaltseve buldge defense.
